Teaching Monks

        Venerable Manikanto Bkihhu was born on May 7,1965 in Thailand. He ordained as a Buddhist monk on Jan 1, 1987 at Dhammakaya Temple in Patumthani, Thailand. The Dhammakaya Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Thailand. It has many local temples around the world. Ven. Manikanto has both a bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Buddhist Philosophy. He was an Abbot of Dhammakaya Temple in London, UK and Belgium.  Formerly, he was an Abbot in New Jersey for the past year. While, Ven. Manikanto was residing at the Dhammakaya International Meditation Center in Fanwood, New Jersey, he managed education programs as well as offered weekly English and Thai Dhamma Talks including meditation classes. In additions, Ven. Manikanto also translates and edits the Lord Buddha’s Dhamma in the form of books and case studies about the law of Karma, and many other Dhamma projects. Ven. Manikanto has recently accepted the position of the Abbot in Seattle Meditation Center and presently is residing here.
